Poor ventilation, exposure to heat, or excessive stacking of modules can be aggravating factors.
Furthermore, the release of toxic or flammable gases in the event of a failure poses an additional risk to the safety of people and facilities. Added to this is uncertainty among insurers about the terms and conditions of coverage in the event of a claim. What were your requirements when you started this project?> As a manufacturer of electric bikes, we need to store a large number of batteries. We wanted to guarantee two essential things: firstly, the safety of goods and people in the event of an incident, and secondly, the maintenance of optimal storage conditions. The solution of an outdoor container equipped with temperature control devices perfectly meets this need.
Did the regulatory environment motivate the implementation of the remote storage container for lithium batteries?
> The initiative was taken by the company, but it is true that we are simply anticipating future obligations that are bound to arise with the increase in incidents related to lithium battery storage.

The container incorporates automatic heating and ventilation functions to ensure that the internal temperature does not exceed the recommended values. Mounted on the roof of the container, the panels help to reduce heat in summer, power the installation and reduce heating consumption in winter.
How did the project go?
> We simply specified our requirements in terms of storage volume and temperature range, and TETRADIS took care of everything else: sizing the components, conducting studies, manufacturing and installation. Commissioning took place in the presence of a TETRADIS technician, who showed us all the settings and explained how the system works.
